Is there a setting to grey out the icon of every window but the active one, not only the minimized?

Asked by Jan

I understand that you could hardly tell the difference between unlaunched apps that are pinned and open apps that are not active.

But regarding that I only sparingly use the pin function (I pinned Nautilus and Chromium and always have them open), I would very much like if there would be a way to do that. And it may be a viable use case for everyone who does not use the pin function.

How the buttons are represented is controlled by the theme. It's very possible to make a theme that would behave like this.

I made a theme and now I want to import it. I tried branching off and proposing to merge but it would not work. Do you / I need to enable something?

Ah, worked it out. Tried to push to lp:~inquata/dockbar/dockbarx/mnmlstc-theme but only one subfolder level is possible.
