Do

Can't install Gnome-Do (packages and PPA problems etc)

Asked by Lee Jarratt

Okay, occasionally my laptop's disk drive suddenly stops working and it sometimes happens when I start installing something through Update Manager, Terminal or Synaptic.. Anyway I was going to install the trunk from GNOME-Do using the Testers PPA but my hard disk stopped working during the install, I had no choice but to shut down, and as always when this happens, something messes up badly. Now I can't even install GNOME-Do, Synaptic Package Manager tells me that some packages have unresolvable dependencies. I've tried quite a few things, there isn't anything in the "broken" filter though.

I hope someone can help me out here as I use Do extensively and it's just not the same without it, performing tasks is so much slower without it. I will have to re-install Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope Alpha 6 just to get a working Do if I can't fix it.

Many thanks in advance,

Lee Jarratt

It seems to have solved itself, never mind. Sorry for wasting your time :( Your work on Do is great, thank you.

I'm having a similar problem. When I attempt to install via Synaptic I get the message that some files can not be found. I have added the repositories per the web site. Are the files still in the Intrepid repositories?
