Is displayconfig-gtk going to be written for Intrepid?

Without any apparent way to configure my monitor from the existing control panel, the use of displayconfig-gtk would be MUCH appreciated by legions of Ubuntu users...

I was able to get my resolution to the desired 1400x1050 by fooling with nvidia-xserver, so the problem is, for the time being, solved.
