DC++

The DC++ hub host is rejecting my host name

I just moved to a new dorm room, and whenever I try to log onto DC++ I get this message:

"Your hostname () is not allowed on this hub."

My hub is THCHUB
Address: thchub.no-ip.com:3307

How can I fix this??

As the host of the hub, I feel I should comment. :)

The hub does a reverse DNS lookup when you connect, and disconnects you if it fails or does not match the correct set of hostnames. It takes a while for the reverse DNS to get updated after you register, so the hub doesn't know you're connecting from a correct place for a few hours until it does.

Now that it's come up, I should probably add a special check for the hostname being empty, and indicate waiting for a few hours may fix it.
