Cant display File lists or search

I have looked at all the other questions with this name...i have turned off every firewall thing i have...and still i cant open any file lists....or search for anything....

Please help me...!!!

Well, then I guess you'll just have to use passive mode. It's not that bad, really.

Passive mode is rubbish, you automatically more than half your search results. Have you tried configuring your router? IE port forwarding? That sounds like the problem from the information that you have provided.

please explain more....router??where would i find one of them, how do i no my comp has one??, can you explain how to do the whole process without the lingo-jingo of computer language

Don't be lazy palligan you have the internet and google in front of you. All these questions have been answered a million times before. The router is the piece of hardware connected to your computer that allows you to connect to the internet. In terms of how to do port forwarding for your router, there's countless guides. I personally think the one at portforward.com is good. It provides screenshots and a step by step guide for every router. We still haven't fully established that it is a router that is causing the problem.
