unable to access network

Asked by Jeff

i'm unable to access my school's network. I'm positive I enterred the address corectly, and all the required settings on DC++ are correct. And it seems like I'm the only person who has this problem. I recently had to reinstall Windows Vista, which meant I had to reinstall DC++, and ever since then it hasn't worked.

The system log says this everytime I go on DC++:

TLS disabled, failed to generate certificate: The system cannot find the file specified.
Failed to load certificate file
File list refresh initiated
File list refresh finished
Error creating magnet registry key

I don't know if it's a problem with the settings on my computer or if it's a problem with DC++. I reinstalled it several times and nothing is working.

Are you able to access other normal hubs?

I am able to access the public hubs, but I can't search for anything. It connects and then disconnects after a few minutes. That's the same problem as on my school's hub. It connects (but it doesn't show any of the recent info that it usually shows) and then it disconnects after a minute.

What kind of connection you get ? Do you see any users on that hub? Or just the message "Connected" ?
Do you have sufficient rights on your computer to run DC++ ?

It just says connected, and I don't see any users on any hubs. I would think that I have sufficient rights for DC++ because it used to work perfectly fine.

Ok so, it's now working fine. I didn't do anything to it, but now it's working.

It means your ISP had problems then.
