add favorite user

I would like to know how to add a user as a favorite. i only have a screen name

Right click a user (for example in the user list) and select 'add to favourites'. You can manage your favourite users by clicking the blue star icon in your DC++ client. I'd also like to use this space to express my disappointment at the dc++ developers who have opted for the in my mind incorrect American spelling of favourite.

I don't know what hubs this person is located on. can i still add them as a favorite user?

You can also do it if they're in your transfers bar at the bottom by again right clicking them. You can also do it if you have their list in front of you or if you're in a PM with them. So unless you can fulfil those conditions I don't think it's possible.

Indeed, at the moment there is no way you can add a user based solely on their nickname (besides doing what imb just said). (If you have their CID, you can edit the Favorites.xml file and add it, following the syntax.) I believe there was a RFE in the old bugzilla about having a "add user" in the favorite users window...
