dc++ connected but no users

pls help me sort this out is driving me mad.
i'm connected but no users are shown,cant search or download .i'm using vista ultimate,and a router netgear dg 834g.i've open ports (incomming and outgoing 5555) enabled upnp in it ,followed the instructions on how to set up active mode. funny thing is that it it used to work and it gest stopped.no firewall is installed , and the windows firewall is off , and i have forwarded ports in it and allowed dc++ anyway.wend i check the port on http://www.canyouseeme.org/ it says that it can see me , oh and i've put in the correct ip addresses ( internal and external) so im out of ideeas pls somebody

No users in the user list doesn't sound like the behaviour of unopen ports. Sounds like you can't provide a decent connection between you and the hub, often seen this when an ISP imposes traffic shaping, or your ISP is being a general pain.

Have you changed anything on your setup since this error occuring? Have you checked into your ISP?

Oh, and do you experience the same behaviour in many hubs, or have you just tried it on one hub?

Come to think of it this could be occuring for a number of reasons so it's best to provide more information. What version of DC++ are you using? What is the hubsoft/error message you receive when trying to connect to the hub? Maybe it's because you're using an old version of DC++ and trying to connect to an ADC hub.

dc++ 0.699 /or strong dc 2.11 (not in the same time). . i've tryed tens of hubs in both of them,didnt changed any settings before it stopped working there is no error message it gest shows ''connected'' but there are no users on the rigth hand size and no info about the hub is available .how can i check into mu isp ? i,m using tescalli broadband in uk if that means anything

Best thing to do is to google your isp name along with 'traffic shaping' or 'dc++ problems' to see if anyone else on tiscali is experiencing the same behaviour. I'll provide more assistance tomorrow since I'm really tired tonight, hopefully some more people in the know will help too. Hi i have a problem that i am able to connect to hubs but cant search and see any users. when i connect to the hubs it just says 'connected' my system log states right now:
[01:54] Generated new TLS certificate
[01:54] File list refresh initiated
[01:54] File list refresh finished

I dont get why i cant connect? i was connected the other day too,
My connection setting is passive. Should i be on direct ?? Please help i have no clue
