DC++

cpu 100% usage

Recently upgraded my PC & did a new install of DC++ using ver. 6.999 (was using an earlier version on the old computer). Find this now frequently locks-up the PC for short periods (20 - 60 seconds). On checking noticed that the CPU usage if often at 100% with 98% being accessed by DC++. CPU is AMD Duron 1.39GHz running XP.

Find it difficult to believe this program requires almost 100% CPU usage so wondering if anyone can explain/help.

I think I experienced this problem too. When connecting to a big hub, or when searching a lot. Since 0.699 is a branch that is not developed anymore, I suggest you go and install 0.704 and see if the problems appear again.

Tried 7.04 but had exactly the same problem plus other issues, so rolled back to 0.674 - no CPU issues & their related hassles just fast downloads & quick searches. Now just wish there was a way to stop all the filelist downloads I don't want!

I don't know where it's located in that version (maybe under Advanced?), but the option you're looking to disable is called 'auto match queue for auto search hits'.

i am exactly getting the same problem....but the problem is not solved by using dc++ 0.674 :(.............PLZ HELP
