Where is the folder where the commands are saved?

I would like to transfer the commands from one computer to another. Where is the file with the commands located?

The commands are saved in a file called .clicompanion2. This file is in your Home directory. It is a hidden directory so View > Show Hidden FolDers (Ctrl + h) to see the file.

Thanks for that. That is what I expected, but I know now my error in
reasoning. I looked for a folder clicompanion, although that does not
have to exist. I found the file!

Also you can load an alternative file in the right-click menu on the commands list or in the preferences window, inside the plugins tab selecting the LocalCommandList plugin.

PLease take notice of the layout of the file, it is important to follow. Back up your file before making changes . Also keep any 'extra' EOL from the end of your file.

i found the file too.
i do find this program very usefull so what i would like is a short explanation
howto open it with which program .
 it is also important to have a backup if the file grows larger.
so an explanation howto do that would also be very welcome.

@Theo It is a program on its own and it opens by itself. It is a terminal program to use command line.
You can start it with a launcher or from another terminal using clicompanion.
A backup is done by copying/backuping the file mentioned in the first post in this thread.
