Can we get media-content (plugins?) working?

Asked by foerdi

I'm using this on jaunty and it is REALLY fast...

but without flash and video-content (divx e.g.) it doesn't look very good and is not usable yet, in the meaning of web 2.0

can we geht some enhancements in this direction?

This is not the right place to ask this question.
Here, we are talking about the Ubuntu package (downstream), not upstream development, which is there: http://code.google.com/chromium/

But of course, flash and video are in the roadmap (not divx though, more open source codecs such as ogg/ogv).

Try running with:

chromium-browser --enable-plugins

Flash is not perfect but overall good.

I have gecko-mediaplayer installed and it plays different video formats very well. Just add the --enable-plugins flag when starting chromium.

Can you help with this problem?
