Cardapio crashing on startup
I know this problem has been discussed extensively before, but I can't seem to find a working solution. Whenever I reboot my computer, Cardapio asks if I want to delete it from my configuration. I attempted every remedy discussed in the previous threads.
I had a work-around that worked for some time. I discovered that if I first ran the cardapio located in /usr/bin, I could then add it to my panel without errors. Basically, I edited the .conf file to delay the Cardapio startup for 10 seconds. I also created a launcher the the "cardapio" file from /usr/bin to run on startup. This seemed to work for a few days, but now I'm encountering more errors. I am sometimes able to get Cardapio to run in the panel, but it is doing some strange things with my panel as well.
I noticed that this problem began occurring after I installed the Faenza icon set-could there be any correlation?
I have tried completely removing and re-installing Cardapio, but that doesn't seem to fix the problem either. Perhaps I'm not getting it totally removed?
Sorry for my lack of expertise-I'm new to linux, but loving it. I love Cardapio as well-simply a great menu replacement solution.
Thanks for the help.
Currnently running Ubuntu 10.10
