My Mac could not use numerical evaluation selection

Asked by Muyuan Song

Dear all,

My Mac can not use numerical evaluation before entering the process for new models. It only works for SM. After I input some process, it could do some evaluations (like monto carlo intergration, phase space mapping, etc). The main problem is that I could not change constraints or parameters. I got a message after I pressed the numerical evaluation before entering any process:

./calchep: line 56: 28513 Segmentation fault: 11 $CALCHEP/bin/s_calchep $*
CalcHEP has finished with error code 139

Here is my MAC system:

macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.2
Processor 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5.

I used the Calchep version 3.7.

Could anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Unfortunately  I have not Mac. I'll   look for it.

As I understand you have 2 problems.

1) Numerical evaluation:

         It works for SM

Does it work for all SM modifications  presented  in 'work'
directory of CalcHEP?

For which model it does not work

2)  Edit Model  - leads to segmentation fault.

Do  you have gdb?

Dear Alexander Pukhov,

Sorry for not responds earlier. In general model lists after I installed Calchep 3.7, there are SM, SM(+hgg), SM(+hgg + h4G),IDM, IDM(+hgg). I have not added other models yet. The working model is SM only. The program crashed for all other models when I change constraints before choosing any process. It prints out :

./calchep: line 56: 49582 Segmentation fault: 11 $CALCHEP/bin/s_calchep $*
CalcHEP has finished with error code 139

I wonder it is because my version of Mac OS system.

Thanks Alexander Pukhov, that solved my question.
