Asked by ML

Hi,

will BIT check if the target-filesystem is mount before starting with the backup? If the Filesystem is not mounted, but the Harddisk connected to the system, it seem that sometimes bit created a folder at /media/USER/DEVICENAME and backup to that folder on local disk insteead of the (nonmounted) target fileseystem.

thanks for information

BIT will check for folders 'backintime/<HOST>/<USER>/<PROFILE_ID>' exist in destination folder before starting a new snapshot. If not it will wait 30sec for them to show up or exit with a warning otherwise.

If there are folders inside your mountpoint it could be that drive was unmounted during a running snapshot and rsync created them. Maybe because your machine switched to suspend/hibernate.

Can you help with this problem?
