Launch new apps from same launcher?

I have a suggestion, but wasn't sure where to add it, so I'm adding it here in the questions.

Currently, when a app is launched from AWN, the little arrow appear, and that icon now functions as the window list does.
Unfortunately I sometimes find myself wanting to click the icon again, to open a second instance of the app. (like a second Firefox window, or second terminal)

Would it be possible to include a function, where you can ctrl+click on the icon, to open a new instance of the app, if the user wishes to do so?
