Translations for applets

Are there translations for the applets ( for example German) or are those planned in nearly future? And from where does one get this (perhaps translation-package in Ubuntu repository)? Or is there a possibility for a newbie to translate themselves on a easy way ? What I want is only for the weather applet necessary. Because words like misty or cloudy I have to use a dictionary for translating. Maybe is there a easy way to filter incoming data and replacing them with the Germans word. If you need help for translating into German I will help you. Thank you in advance.

Hi all! When will you accept the translations suggestions? At this moment it's impossible continuing translating because there are a lot of items with suggestions and Launchpad can not filter it (spanish). Also I've send a lot of strings, and the time pass... :P
