Apport Update 0.108.2 locks up during update

Update Manager locks up trying to update to Apport 0.108.2.

I successfully updated the other 18 of 19 updates today (May 26, 2008), but the first one, Apport 0.108.2, gets stuck.
It sits there spinning its clock, can not close the update window, can only kill it with the System Monitor.

I'm relatively new to Linux, but able to bungle my way through the terminal and SUDO when necessary.

Any ideas?

Kernel Linux 2.6.24.17-generic
GNOME 2.22.1

Memory 1.5 GB
Processor AMD Athlon XP 2500+

After trying a number of different things, I found some instructions that worked:

sudo apt-get -f install

This fixed the problem, everything is working well again.
